What elf Cosmetics Claims
"Preps your eyelid for smoother, longer-lasting and crease-proof eyeshadow. The lightweight liquid formula quickly absorbs into the skin for comfortable wear and increases eye color longevity."

This primer is available in four different shades. Pearl, Golden, Sheer and Champagne. Sheer is a nude color which looks very close to the original Urban Decay Primer Potion. It blends into my skin easily. If you have redness on your lids this shade will not cover it up since the color disappears once you blend it out. The elf eyelid primer does have a thinner consistency then the Urban Decay Primer Potion and it dries fairly quickly.
Now the big question, does this really prevent eyeshadow creasing? This primer has never made eyeshadows crease or fade on me but I have very dry lids so there isn't  a lot of products that crease on my lids. This primer might crease if you have oily lids, but I also know a lot of people who do have oily lids and this primer works out great for them.

Packaging
I love the simplicity of the packaging. Sheer comes in a clear tube so you are able to see how much product is left. The wand comes with a doe foot applicator. I personally don't mind it but if your not a fan of that type of applicator you might not like this product. The label of the shades are at the bottom of the tube.

Overall
If you are looking to buy an affordable eye primer then you should give the e.l.f essential primer a try. There isn't much to lose. I did take off a point for this product in my Final Verdict only because it isn't easily available in Toronto and when you do mange to find it it's costs a lot more then it's worth. I would definitely repurchase this primer because it does what it claims, and if I can save money then even better.

Pros
- Inexpensive
- Makes eyeshadows last and prevents creasing
- Simple packaging
- Great dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion
   Cons
